Pair Of 2 Miniature Painted Oval Porcelains Framed & Signed “fragonard”

This is a lovely PAIR of Vintage/Antique, Hand Painted Porcelain Ovals, Framed, and Signed “Fragonard”. This is how they were sold to me. To my knowledge these are authentic, however I’ve never had an appraisal done on these. The oval porcelains are not perfectly oval as you can see in the pictures. Also, I’ve never tried to remove these from their frames so I have no idea what if anything is on the backs. I am ot a professional, so I cannot give any guarantee on these. These are beautiful. Frames are heavy for their size. The procelains are approx 2.25″ tall and the frames are approx 6″ tall. Item #3134 ALL OFFERS ARE ALWAYS APPRECIATED AND ARE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED. LOOKS LIKE SOME CLOUDS ARE PAINTED GOLD BUT IT GIVE THE ILLUSION THAT THE SILHOUETTE FANCY LADY IS WALKING INTO A DARK AREA. AS I LOOK AT THIS PICTURE IT SEEMS TO CHANGE. Nice green handled whisk broom with beautiful old tin enclosure. This is very similar to Shaker made brooms, but I don’t know whether Shakers made them with green paint??? This is seven and a half inches long from the bottom of the straw to the top of the painted handle. The tin is two and a quarter inches tall and the part of the straw that shows is three and a half inches tall. At its widest part it measures five inches across. This broom has great form and is in excellent condition. Please study the pictures carefully and ask any questions you might have. We’ll respond quickly and to the best of our ability. We want buyers to be pleased with our transactions and so try very hard to present good pictures and accurate descriptions. That being the case, our policy is no returns unless there is misrepresentation of the item or its condition. Early 19th C Painted Metal Tobacco Box With Motto “honesty Is The Best Policy”

Antique Tobacco Box with Motto This is an early sheet metal tobacco box, that I’m dating to the 19th C but I’ve been told it could even be late 18th C. It is painted black with a pitcher, glass and leaves painted in gold above the motto “Honesty is the Best Policy”also painted in gold. There are painted lines and squiggles decorating both ends of the top. There is paint loss, most noticeably to the top. The most noticeable losses are to the painted area just below the pitcher and at the top of the “H” in the motto. There is also paint loss to the edges. At some point someone gave the entire box (including the inside) a top coat of shellac or varnish, probably to preserve the remaining paint. The box has a sheen as a result of this. The box, itself, is in strong condition with only a little surface rust to note. This can be seen in the photo of the bottom (#4). This tobacco box measures 6 1/2 X 3 3/4 X1 inch. I’ve seen similar style tobacco boxes for sale for hundreds of dollars, but none had this same great motto. Taking into account the condition of the paint, I’m starting this at just $39. Dancing Lady 1920s Art Deco Sculpture Hand Painted Gypsum/wire Armature

This lot is for [1] Dancer Art Deco Sculpted Gypsum Figurine, Hand Painted, Circa Late 1920s, Early 1930s. Brilliant Blue skirt appears air brushed, as do smaller areas of gypsum sculpture. Dancer is hand detailed as well. The same styling used in the sculpture is the same style used in the Art Deco Boudoir Dolls of the same period. The Dancer stands 13″ Tall and 12″ Hand to Hand. We do not see any outstanding damage, the Dancer is in wonderful, preserved state, but does show some age. The arms’ wire armatures appear to always be such as they are now, somewhat exposed, and the paint has worn off the arms’ wire armatures in places. We are selling this sculpture As Is As Shown. We will include the price of Insurance in the cost of the sculpture.

Wonderful ornate Art Nouveau cast iron base of some kind. Am wondering if it’s some kind of lamp base because there are threads inside hole on top. Rusty with a few tiny remnants of white paint. Lovely old piece but does have an issue. One of the curly things has been broken off top at some time. Please take advantage of zoom or enlarge feature and study all photos thoroughly.
